Jania is passionate about education. As the wife of an international HSBC executive, she lived in eight different countries and visited educational projects around the world, from the slums of Delhi to the favelas of Rio and the townships of Johannesburg.
She was a trustee of two international educational charities before becoming founding chairman of The Madrinha Trust. She is also on the advisory board of Teach First, a role she has thoroughly enjoyed for the past nine years, and served for a while as a governor of a London inner city state school. She is married to Mike, and has two sons, Nick and Christo.
