Edem grew up in Ghana, West Africa and has spent the past 13 years living in the UK and Singapore with extensive global travel in that time. Post graduating in 2012, a career in civil engineering has provided the opportunity to work on a number of iconic projects across the UK with Balfour Beatty. Edem is passionate about the impact of the built infrastructure industry to positively affect the lives of millions across the globe.
Edem is a converted triathlete, having cycled to work on the Olympic Stadium Transformation Project and took full advantage of working in close proximity to the London 2012 Aquatics Centre to hone his swimming skills. He completed his first triathlon, the Wimbeball Ironman 70.3 in Exmoor in 2016 and has the Full Ironman in South Africa on his bucket list.
Edem is optimistic about the next generation of African leaders and is keen to share his knowledge and skills in helping them develop.
