Andrew Shipley

Andrew has recently been appointed to be Head of Science at St Ninian’s High School in the Isle of Man, where he is also a Sixth Form Tutor.  He became a teacher after graduating from the University of Liverpool with a Joint Honours degree in Physics with Materials Science, followed by a PGCE in 1985.

Andrew is also a founding Trustee and Treasurer of a charity based in the Isle of Man called DO! – Developing Orphans, presently seeking to bring education to orphans living in Child Headed Families in Northern Uganda.

He is looking forward to the opportunity to be a mentor with the Madrinha Trust and hopes that through his experience in teaching he will be able to help others develop their full potential.
